Want to be more involved at Simmons?  We'd love to have you!  There are plenty of ways you can help, from volunteering at special events, and assisting teachers with classroom chores, to making copies for the office.  Fill out THIS SURVEY and see where you can fit in - our kids and our teachers thank you!

Simmons will hold the 2nd Annual School-wide Turkey Trot on Monday, Nov. 19! (during school hours)  To promote physical fitness, students and staff will be encouraged to run or walk ONE MILE or more around the school building!  Dress code for the day will be comfortable athletic wear.  The Turkey Trot will be held outdoors, so please send students to school wearing tennis shoes and weather appropriate clothing.

The Lost and Found is overflowing! Please have your students check for lost items before Tuesday, Nov. 20. (Lost and Found is located in the cafeteria).  After that date, all unclaimed items will be donated to our Family Resource Center and distributed accordingly.

Come hear the Simmons Glee Club perform at the Versailles Tree Lighting Ceremony, Friday, Nov. 30.  The festivities will begin at 5:30pm, at the corner of Court & Main Streets. What a great way to kick off the holidays!

Harlem Wizards logo Coming Soon: The Harlem Wizards

The WCHS Athletic Department invites you to see the World Famous Harlem Wizards!  You'll watch players like Arnold "A-Train" Bernard, James "The Roadrunner" Tyndal, Devon "Livewire" Curry and more play some "awe-inspiring" basketball.  The game will take place on Saturday, December 8th at 7:00 p.m.  Tickets can be purchased online beginning November 15th.  WCHS will have tickets available beginning November 20th.  Come out, enjoy the game and support WCHS Athletics!

 

The Harlem Wizards will take on WCHS Teachers and Alumni.  Here's more information about the event.

Cartoon kids RAP Support Group (Relatives As Parents)

Are you raising the child of a relative? You are invited to join us each month to learn about resources and ideas in your role as acting parent/guardian. Dinner is provided, and children are welcome to attend, as there will be activities for them too! All meetings will be held at the Woodford County Extension Service, 184 Beasley Rd. Please see the attached flyer more details. Meetings will be held on the 2nd Monday of each month.
